A group of modders is working on an ambitious new expansion for The Witcher 3 called The WAR Project, which aims to revive the game’s biggest cut storyline, the Catriona Plague questline.
Based on datamined content discovered years ago, the mod is planned as a 10-hour expansion featuring 12 new quests.
The project is supported by YouTuber and Witcher expert xLetalis, who has been documenting and assisting its development.
The team is seeking someone to voice Geralt of Rivia, with auditions currently open for fans to become the White Wolf’s voice in the project.
The mod will explore content removed before the game’s release, expanding on locations and characters that never made it into the final version.
A playable demo is already available, with the full release expected in 2027.
