Blown away by the kind support for my upcoming book. The last two and a bit years was essentially me telling myself that nobody would care, or want to buy it. Writing 75000 words I was convinced nobody would ever see. So thanks for the love 🙏 Order: tinyurl.com/2s3pn7hm

What’s with the Eurovision player credits for the team line ups? Mad as. First one to do the heart with your hands thing needs an immediate red.

I feel bad dialling in to a team meeting but David Guetta deciding to play the World Cup opening ceremony via Zoom is pretty punchy.

How Madueke is anywhere near an England side is remarkable. Bowen has been done there. See also Adam Wharton/Jordan Henderson.

You know you’ve had a good night out with your mates when there are no pictures of it.

Heard the same interaction between Hull and Middlesbrough fans by foot, tube and train. Amicable and conciliatory. Boro sad but happy for Hull. And City supporters feeling like it’s all a dream. No aggro or goading. Just folks chatting, with a love of football in common.

The Boro shirt stuffed into that arch must be a lucky omen. Surely?

A League Arbitration Panel has today dismissed Southampton Football Club’s appeal against the Independent Disciplinary Commission’s decision in respect of breaches of EFL Regulations. As a result, the original sanction remains in force. Southampton’s expulsion from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs stands, alongside the four-point deduction to be applied to the Club’s 2026/27 Championship record and the reprimand in respect of all charges. In accordance with EFL Regulations, the decision of the League Arbitration Panel is final. Following the conclusion of the proceedings, the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough is confirmed as taking place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 23 May, kicking off at 3.30pm. #EFL

Anyway, all you can do is be the better person and wish all the best to former Boro players who’ve managed to get themselves to Wembley. So good look specifically to Matt Crooks and Ryan Giles.
