The data is out and the suspension of middle school admissions screens during the pandemic led to more inclusive schools, just as it did when we got rid of screens in District 15. Glad to see this change expand city wide.
Admissions offers have started coming out for NYC middle schoolers, and DOE says this year's COVID suspension of admissions screens resulted in more low-income ELL students accepted to previously selective schools, including:
