Last night I watched the first ep of #LittleDisasters on @channel5_tv with Diane Kruger (via @paramountplus). A nurse treats the baby of a close friend & decides to call social services on her. Cut to everything imploding, friendship first. Bits to camera add to an odd vibe! 6/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #WidowsBay on @AppleTV with Matthew Rhys. The quirky town has fog moving in that locals think is the island waking up to a curse. Worse time too as a food writer’s penning an article that could boost tourism! Walks the horror/comedy line! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #Nemesis on @NetflixUK with Matthew Law (from the creator of #Power & you can tell). Isiah’s a maverick cop with a troubled family: wife/son/dad. And he’s sure a robbery may be connected to the case that got away. Police cliche central! 7/10

Last night I watched the first game of the #FIFA #WorldCup2026 & the first of 3 opening ceremonies in Mexico 🇲🇽 at the Azteca with Shakira. The stadium Pele played in & Maradona had his #HandOfGod moment. 2 goals/3 red cards with 103 more matches to go: England on Wednesday! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheRestIsFootball on @NetflixUK with Gary, Alan & Micah. Preview of the #WorldCup that kicks off later in Mexico City 🇲🇽 with Shakira. Great to have these three back, daily, live, with all the analysis of the 104 games ⚽️ The fix I need! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #MatingSeason on @NetflixUK with Nick Kroll. What #BigMouth did for kids, this does for animals: if Attenborough shows only focussed on the sex. A bear, raccoon, fox, deer & others navigate life in the forest. Beasts as humans: hilarious! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheFortune on @channel5_tv with Eleanor Tomlinson & Neville Longbottom. I’ll keep trying them as they make a lot of them (no real joy yet): this one’s about a waitress who inherits £2M from someone she doesn’t know. Clunky and bonkers! 6/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #LoveOverboard on @DisneyPlus with Gabby Windey. Below Deck meets Upstairs Downstairs as sexy (annoying) singles try to become influencers pretending they’re looking for love. The twist: half must serve the others & split them up. Awful! 5/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #WelcomeToWrexham S5 on @DisneyPlus with Rob & Ryan. A great show with this season focussing on the Red Dragons Championship debut after back-to-back-to-back promotions. Will they make it back-to-back-to-back-to-back? Already spoiled! 😝 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #Kylie on @NetflixUK looking back at her near-40-years in music (up to Michael Hutchence). Incredible access (Pete/Jason/Dannii), footage from her 1st PWL meeting when #Lucky was written for her, the music, the outfits… An absolute joy! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #MakeThatMovie on @Channel4 from Sam Campbell. The idea’s a good one: making films that members of the public think would be fun. And Sam’s super-funny (Last One Laughing/Taskmaster). This however failed to make me smile. Bit too surreal! 6/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheDickieShow (first #Smoggie spin-off) on @BBCiPlayer from Phil Dunning. Not seen a character-led chat show for ages but this has all the series regulars producing it in Mam’s garage and staying in character. Mrs Merton’s reborn: a joy! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #GBBO #TheProfessionals back on @Channel4 with Benoit/Cherish/Ellie/Liam. We start with an upgrade on a Paris Brest (cue sniggering & lots of innuendos) and 100cm showpieces based on kids’ toys hiding a secret crumble (1st dad/son team)! 7/10
