As if cars weren’t winning enough already in Houston. They know it’s just a podcast right? @TheWarOnCars

Signal knocked down for the third time I've seen at the corner of Hawthorne and Bagby, where the Spur 527 starts. I am reluctant to 311 this, though, as I am afraid that the City's solution will be to close this crosswalk.

Biking to school is popular at Wilchester Elementary School. What if we made the city convenient for adults to bike too?

Ran into Luke of @ride_bikes_more at Anthills today. He’s got some great Instagram content. Wish I got around as much as he does. instagram.com/ride_bikes_mor…

Not sure if anyone posted this already, but I went by the Buffalo Heights HEB and noticed @HouPublicWorks was installing pedestrian signals at the intersection. I know a lot of people put in 311 requests for this over the years. Didn’t have a chance to take a picture.

I wonder if they’ll also put in some ped lights one block over at Washington and Yale / Waugh? 👀👀👀

This brings the number of segments that are closed on my work commute to 3. Addicks Trail, Waugh Drive, and Holman St. The alternate route here is i10.
🧵 So the @USACEHQ decided to close the Addicks trail in the middle of the day today, with zero warning, no signage, & no alternative routes for bike commuters (hint: there isn’t one). 1/

GHP tweeting support for Montrose Blvd project is not something I was expecting.

RT @allynwest: I’m hearing that the 11th Street bike lanes and the Montrose Boulevard rebuild could be next on Whitmire’s chopping block.

Mayor Whitmire intends to tear out the recently-installed safety improvements on Houston Avenue. (Yes, the same Mayor Whitmire who says his top priority is public safety.) Join @MarioforHouston Sunday at 4PM to remind @houmayor that traffic safety is public safety.

I do not support removing the improvements along Houston Ave. If something isn’t working with the project, modify it, don’t waste taxpayer money. District CMs need to be included in these decisions. I will be fighting to ensure safety improvements return to Houston Ave. quickly.

New: @HouPublicWorks makes it official. The Houston Avenue pedestrian safety improvements, installed in December, will be removed starting this month. Background: axios.com/local/houston/2023…

Anyone want to go in on some 4 in 1 home self test for COVID, RSV, Flu from Europe? $3.00 in Europe, $50.00 in the US for 2 in 1. Currently have a fever, not covid. Easy win for politicians to reign in these prices.

Here we go again, another day another highway widening we can’t afford. Build more lanes -> growth happens in Katy -> Katy gets mad about commute times -> build more lanes, you want it to stop? Just put in the train already

Unlocked another becoming your dad item. Glued some soles back onto my mountain bike shoes. Only 7 years old, still another year or two of life left. To be fair, my father would probably say it’s wasteful to have shoes just for biking…. 😜
