@TourismBoardUg (UTB) is participating in the 9th edition of Karibu-KiliFair, East Africa’s premier tourism and travel trade exhibition, taking place from June 4–7, 2026, at the Magereza Grounds in Arusha, Tanzania.
The annual tourism expo has attracted more than 500 exhibitors from over 15 countries, 700 international and regional travel buyers from 45 countries, and an estimated 10,000 trade visitors, making it one of the region’s most influential tourism networking and business platforms.
UTB’s participation is aimed at strengthening Uganda’s position as a leading tourism destination in Africa by promoting the country's diverse attractions, building strategic partnerships, and exploring new tourism investment opportunities. The event provides a valuable platform for destination marketing, business-to-business engagements, and expanding Uganda’s visibility in key regional and international markets.
To maximize Uganda’s presence at the exhibition, the Uganda Tourism Board is working closely with the Uganda Consulate in Arusha, demonstrating a shared commitment to promoting Uganda as the Pearl of Africa and driving tourism growth across the region.
Speaking at the event, Dr.
@simplcious, Head of Public Relations at UTB, emphasized the importance of the fair in advancing Uganda’s tourism agenda.

The Ambassador and Consul General at Uganda’s Consulate in Arusha, Ambassador Anne Katusiime, highlighted the significance of regional cooperation in boosting tourism and trade.
"Our participation in Karibu-KiliFair reflects our commitment to promoting Uganda and fostering regional tourism cooperation that creates new opportunities for travel, trade, and investment. Arusha remains a strategic tourism hub in East Africa, and this fair offers an invaluable opportunity to connect with global buyers, industry leaders, and travelers seeking authentic African experiences," she noted.
As Karibu-KiliFair continues to expand its influence on the African tourism calendar, Uganda remains committed to leveraging such international platforms to increase market access, attract investment, forge strategic partnerships, and promote sustainable tourism development.
The exhibition is expected to generate new business opportunities and strengthen Uganda’s reputation as one of Africa’s most compelling and diverse travel destinations.
