One thing I have noticed over the years is that there are essentially two groups of indie comics creators — those who stress the importance of being immediately seen and those who stress the importance of properly utilizing time (alone) in silence. There are many ways to get quick sales with attention-grabbing antics, but many people mistake short-term audiences for evidence of the disciplinary foundations required for long-term success. It isn’t sexy, but pouring creative concrete in isolation and building away from the limelight offers a greater probability of surviving professional storms over the horizon. You can create things that naturally demand attention for their quality instead of putting yourself in a paradigm where you’re trapped in the role of a perpetual carnival barker.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Kyle Chandler as an actor, but is it just #HalJordan's curse to never be cast right for an adaption? (I think he could be a really great Salaak.) Does nobody understand #GreenLanterns as a property?
