However, the situation worsened after the game when some members of the visiting Opuama team, while returning home, encountered Ogbianawei along the route between Eniwari and Fonibiri communities. He was allegedly att@ckedafter being identified as an indigene of Eniwari. He sustained severe injuries and was later confirmed d ad, sparking mourning in the community and heightening tensions in the area.
