"Obviously the Mercedes is super strong so beating them is not simple at all. Today we beat one of them and tomorrow we have to beat the other. Itβs a tall order because theyβve won every race this year but not impossible. I think we will need an absolutely perfect performance from all of us tomorrow, the strategy, my driving, the start, the balance, the degradation, the tyre management, but yeah weβve got to try and see if i can pull something special."
Q: You and the team made a step forward in performance of the car, do you think this car will win this race or even other races?
"This car will definitely win races Iβm sure of it, for the development project we are taking, the direction that we are taking the synergy that we have and how hard we are working Iβm sure at some point we will be battling for wins. I hope itβs tomorrow cause we were close. I think the Mercedes in general is quicker everywhere because they have something more in the race but I hope tomorrow in the race I can do something extra to help the team achieve a result."

I think they can play with the strategy, they can really play with that, and that makes things difficult when we are alone, compared to when we are two teammates. im sorry but this is one of the best qualifying sessions in a while simply because practice had kinda made a lot of people thing we're going to have that same cycle of a step back after lewis had built momentum. instead we saw step forward, a front row. incredibly positive signs.
