Fun fact, I tried to raise ~$10M for a small Pokemon closed end fund a while back. Only got 1 or 2 commitments out of all the people I pitched to. Most reactions were the same: Pokemon was already in a bubble and raising a fund for it is a top signal investing in Pokemon would require extreme expertise. Tbf, could also have been me they were not comfortable investing with me personally or maybe I'm terrible at pitching. Underlying thesis was that gacha volume would continue to explode and suck tons of vintage cards into vaults and personal collections where they won't move for a long time. Ended up putting my intended seed money into my own personal collection instead and am up bigly so it worked out in the end. Pokemon is going 100x higher over the next 10-20 years, esp vintage. Feel pretty confident that you can top blast Pokemon for years to come and end up okay as long as you are buying vintage. Corrections along the way ofc. A few of my favorite fun cards:
