Not even sure I'd be good at it but I do think "spend 30 mins with model do whatever you want, guess what it is" would be a reasonably high signal interview question for engineering positions if you could find a way to neutralize pattern matching to "if you want, I can also" etc
agree

People who still aren't using --yolo after more than a year
me liking every German fan Freddy post about food during his World Cup road trip

It's always satisfying when an agent is like 'sorry no can do' and I say 'go on buddy I believe in you' and then it figures it out. E.g. here where I ask it to alert me when my fedex tracking link changes. Maybe middle managers will still be needed in a post agent world 😆

Fun trick of today, use `site:` in google search for whatever niche you want like news publication, user content site or entire country and search "if you want, I can also" in quotes to find people posting verified slop

You guys are still building agent loops? We're auto looping in loopity loops that loop in recursive quantum agent loops at looptime, thus eliminating the need for old-school 1.0-era loops

Proposing a new term, sludge, that is not the direct result of humans using AI, but as the summary content generated by AI from trying the squeeze the signal from the remaining human generated web.

Been trying @CommandCodeAI because of the $1 for seemingly almost-infinite deepseek credits but I can't use it well because the harness keeps stopping or hard crashing @CommandCodeAI is it possible to use the credits with another agent like pi or do you ban accounts for that

now it won't even keep going, just does 'planning' or whatever for minutes with 0 token usage and then stops again

I upgraded to latest version and still getting random hard crashes, kinda annoying after 54m of waiting

This might be my favourite hallucination I've come across in the wild so far

I understand the concern of skills atrophying when using agents. But so far I am not seeing it. Instead I have learned all sorts of dark secrets of linux networking I somehow didn’t learn before agents building a networking product.

Interest is free: if you're interested in working on a problem, you can start being known for being interested it in before you're an expert on it. You should be trying to become an expert at it (by working on the problem and connecting with other people working on the problem)

LLMs ruined Chesterton's Fence before agents: q: 'why is this random fence with no obvious purpose here?' a: 'someone had problem, this was solution' after agents: q: 'why is this random fence with no obvious purpose here?' a: 'agent put it here randomly for no purpose'

Interesting idea but I don't think it's a temporary thing. I'm convinced most Uber drivers in Cape Town e.g. aren't actually profitable and are just not estimating depreciation properly. But there's always a new sucker so the system works
The golden years of AirBNB were a temporary arbitrage on depreciation. There was a universe of beautiful well-maintained properties and hosts that had not been worn down by short term guests. And the AirBNB hosts didn’t properly estimate the cost of depreciation to maintain that standard, so costs were irrationally low That era fundamentally cant return, it was a temporary arbitrage opportunity There was once a supply of fairly pristine unused space and now there’s not If a space does manage to hit the 2014 standard, it must charge a lot more to fight depreciation And at that point a hotel is generally better

Has been a while since I wrote about agentic engineering, so this time around some learnings of maintaining Pi as a junior maintainer to @badlogicgames :) lucumr.pocoo.org/2026/5/24/p…

I don't use a lot of skills or plugins or MCPs or anything but I'm enjoying my new `/n` discussion-only skill Often I say 'can you do X' and I ambiguously mean - 'is X possible' or - 'Do x' so now I have a quick prefix that stops me having to type out long-form which one
