@DukeEnergy How did I receive a bill for a property I do not and never have owned? Someone @DukeEnergy authorized my information to be used for a new construction property that I never had association with. A thread.
I am informed by @DukeEnergy customer of all of this 1 business day before the fraudulent bill is due. And to top it off, @DukeEnergy charged me $15 extra dollars on my real account for a re-connection fee since I disconnected the fraudulent service.
How does this happen with a company of @DukeEnergy? How is your response “report as fraud or we can’t do anything”. How is my information authorized on someone else’s property without my consent? This is fraud and will be reported to @FTC.
