Sandhurst Fire 2 final update:
The fire has been 100% contained and all resources have been released from the scene and command has been terminated. We want to thank all of the supporting agencies that assisted us with their efforts.
Sandhurst 2 Fire Update:
The fire remains at approximately 25 acres and is currently 75% contained. Command of the incident has transitioned to the State, while our fire crews continue working alongside partner agencies on scene today.
As crews continue their efforts, now is a great time to prepare your property for wildfire season. Visit fire.SLC.gov/wildland to learn more about home hardening, defensible space, and available home assessments.

UPDATE: Still 50% contained, all units will be off the hill at 8:00 pm. Units will patrol throughout the night. Crews will be on scene 8:00 am tomorrow to patrol & monitor. Cause is still under investigation.

The fire is at 50% contained, all forward progress has been stopped, it is not under control at this time.

We are working a large diesel fuel spill in the area of 400 W and 600 N. Crews are on scene and there are road closures surrounding the spill. Please avoid the area. pIO in route.
SLCFD crews are clearing as SLCoHealth is now taking over the scene, working with SLC public utilities and a contractor to finish up the clean-up efforts. PIO has left the scene.
