We have heard reports that it took 30 minutes for our medics to arrive at yesterday’s incident in Streatham
We can confirm that our medics arrived in 4 minutes, and were initially directed to a rendezvous point until the police confirmed it was safe for them to approach patients

I'm 10 hours into a shift on a Fiat, and I feel like I need to be abused by a chiropractor. I've gone from 0 back pain to uncomfortable sitting, standing or anything in between😞

Going to hospital in an ambulance doesn't mean you will be seen quicker at A&E. If you need to go to hospital, but are able to make your own way there, please do
That means one of our ambulances can then go to someone else who needs emergency, life-saving care from our medics.

As it is #InternationalControlRoomWeek I dug out my old epaulettes from when I worked in our EOC.
Pinched this poem off one of my colleagues. I spent 2 years answering 999 calls, a very stressful job which I loved but could never do again.

Two different hospitals within the exact same nationalised healthcare system:
Hospital 1: “Here’s your special lanyard with a certain colour or designation. This improves human factors”.
Hospital 2: “Lanyards are banned because they spread infection, like ties and watches!”

1/2 - Today I have set up a crisp recycling bin at #Hastings ambulance station to help the environment as well as @airambulancekss - the packets can be recycled into bubble wrap for HEMS to use as well as getting a donation per packet that is recycled.

A big thanks to my fabulous colleague who came to my rescue (and took photos)after I got crashed into coming home from a night shift this morning, and thanks to @SussexRoadsPol and @Rother_Police for their support. Somewhat scarier when you're on the other side of it.
