Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS – Threats, Beatings and Zero Development Vision Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena have built their politics around aggressive Marathi pride but what people actually see on the ground is threats intimidation and violence against anyone who does not speak Marathi perfectly. In recent months MNS workers have been caught on video assaulting shopkeepers security guards and common citizens in Mumbai Thane and Mira Road areas simply because they could not speak Marathi or refused to be forced into it. Raj Thackeray himself publicly warned that if someone does not understand Marathi they will get a tight slap. These are not isolated mistakes these are repeated incidents that have led to police complaints petitions to the DGP and even a PIL in the Supreme Court accusing the party of inciting hatred and violence. Instead of using their influence to push real development these parties seem more comfortable with muscle power and fear. When someone makes even a small mistake or does not follow their language rule the response is immediate threats or physical action. There is hardly any visible consistent campaign from them about how they will actually lift Maharashtra Mumbai and other cities higher in jobs infrastructure education healthcare or ease of living. The public discourse stays stuck on language enforcement and confrontation with non Marathi speakers or with the current state government. Both parties are currently out of power in the state. In such a situation one would expect strong alternative ideas and a clear roadmap for development so that people understand what good they can deliver if they ever return to power. Instead the main noise remains about imposing Marathi through pressure and punishing those who do not comply. Even their recent joint efforts and manifesto promises for civic elections look secondary to the daily headlines of assaults and inflammatory statements. People are left wondering if these parties have any serious plan beyond identity based agitation. Nowadays some influencers are also coming forward speaking fact less things and openly supporting them. These people are the real enemy of the Hindu community because they spread baseless narratives division and misinformation among Hindus instead of focusing on real issues or unity. Maharashtra and Mumbai grew because they welcomed talent and enterprise from everywhere. Constant threats and beatings in the name of language only create fear division and bad publicity for the state. True leaders focus on creating opportunities bringing investment improving civic life and uniting people for progress. When parties spend more energy on who gets slapped or threatened for speaking Hindi or any other language than on actual governance plans it shows their priorities are misplaced.
