Harwin and Rhaenyra had genuine love, but Daemon and Rhaenyra had something deeper and more consuming, which was not manipulative.
For all his flaws, Daemon repeatedly put himself between her and her enemies, from protecting her claim to killing Vaemond when he publicly challenged her and her children.

I really wish they had given them more screen time together 🥹. Daemon may have been the love of her life, but the two of them definitely shared a deep and genuine love as well.
