In 1911 a woman named Zsuzsanna Fazekas, who would come to be called Aunt Suzy, arrived in the small village of Negyrev, Hungary. She had seemingly no past or family ties, but quickly established herself as the local midwife and confidant of the women of Negyrev.

Soon, Suzy was holding court, helping the local women take care of their troubles, and bearing many secrets. Over the next decade estimated 300 people died under mysterious circumstances, and all signs pointed back to Aunt Suzy’s simple solutions.

In August 2017, Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, a member of the Spirit Lake Sioux Tribe, was eight months pregnant when she disappeared from her home in Fargo, North Dakota. Days later, Savanna’s newborn baby was discovered in the neighbor’s apartment where she was last seen.
