Just confirmed that ISWAP truly has an English-language radio programme operated by a Gambian. Like the Hausa service, the English programme provides a weekly summary of activities from all IS affiliates globally. Previously, ISWAP had largely communicated in Arabic, Kanuri, and Hausa. The addition of English shows the group's determination to reach a wider audience, possibly including for recruitment purposes.
It is unclear whether the programme airs live or on which frequency. What is clear is that it is distributed as audio files.
