Reason #328 that artificial surfaces suck. For a University with a Turfgrass/Sports Turf Program this is even more a slap in the face. The hypocrisy is tangible.
Strange occurrence in Blacksburg.
Clemson had a guy slide into home and score, but in the process the turf batter’s box got completely flipped over. 😳

Our year 3 students completed their final equipment assessments, their End-of-Pathway test, and their Field Day project. Next step for half of these guys is graduation.

As we finish out the year, our year 2 students have their final aeroponic harvest, disassemble, clean, and store for the summer. They also had time to get started training on our fairway unit for next school year

Pre-concert fraise mow on Thursday last week. Surface hardness increased exponentially from our in season numbers to after one pass with the fraise mower. Firmer is an understatement. True test is the number once the floor is removed Sunday.

Busy weekend for Atlanta Sports Field Managers. GT hosting a weekend series vs NC State. Mercedes hosting Belgium vs USA. And congratulations to @traddjones_ggka and Scott Beam on a successful opening day for the Braves. Many more doing great things around the state as well.

Guys had a great time in the Seckinger Cup @tpcsugarloaf . Fun and challenging format.
Leading the way for us was Will Halloy and Charles Chamberlain II with a T-7 finish.

As part of their plant nutrients & fertilizer unit, year 1 students amended their raised beds in the victory garden. They researched their crop nutrient requirements, calculated the growing areas, selected the proper fertilizer amounts, then weighed and applied it to their space.
