Your breakthrough is often one skill away from where you are right now.
Back in 2015, I was a solid graphic designer doing well enough at my level. But deep down,
I knew that skill alone wouldnโt let me build the life I wanted, especially the responsibility of marrying and taking care of my family.
In 2016, I already had some knowledge of web development but wasnโt taking it seriously. Then, after attending a powerful Twitter Space with one of my mentors, I made a firm decision to level up. I updated my profile and started showing up differently.
Less than two months later, I landed a job that paid me more than all my years as a graphic designer combined. For the first time, I felt truly confident that I could step into marriage and provide for my wife and children.
Moral of the story: Never settle for comfort when growth is calling. The skill youโve been afraid to learn might be the exact one that changes your entire life.
What skill are you avoiding right now?
