We use our treasury to support the growth of the Solana economy. That is, definitionally, DeFi.
But economies don’t exist in isolation. For Solana to be healthy, all of defi has to be healthy.
We like competition. We compete hard. But if we zoom out, we’re all pushing toward open finance and open systems.
We’ve deployed our treasury into Solana DeFi for many years. We supported Tether’s recovery plan for Drift.
In moments like these, it’s important to show up for the broader ecosystem too.
That’s why we are lending USDT into @aave for the first time to support their recovery efforts, and we will also be bringing $AAVE to Solana this weekend.

After everything we have built, everything the team has tried to accomplish, the team has come to the difficult realization that we have exhausted our funds and can no longer sustain operations. There will be a planned period of time to keep things running to support existing tokens, after which Pumpkin will be permanently shut down. The date for this will be released soon.
We are as disappointed as you are. It is frustrating to see such a good project not gain market share, but the reality is that we are out of funds to push it.
There will be (and have been) many who share(d) their opinions on the mistakes the team has made. There have indeed been mistakes, but the reality is that sometimes you are unable to gain market share in an extremely competitive environment. The entire team worked very hard for this, and we are all disappointed it did not succeed.
This isn't the update we wanted to share, but unfortunately this is where things stand.
We truly appreciate those who supported us along this journey, and wish all of you the best.

I went to solz.app yesterday to help out with launching tokens because I'm busy actually trying to be a present dad for once.
2 hours later it had produced:
- A fresh $DADDY token with 5% transfer tax auto-allocated to "kids college wallet" (claimed to be 69% locked, auditors incoming any century now)
- Vanity mint address ending in : 420D4D — kids think it's cool, I think it's cursed
- Instant Raydium CPMM v3 pool bootstrapped with 0.3 SOL liquidity from my emergency ramen fund
- Withdrew all liquidity from the pool at 3Ă— and bridged it to an ETH mixer while the chart was still green
2 years of failed side projects. 2 hours.
Took the kids to the park. Bought overpriced ice cream. Actually listened to their stories about Minecraft redstone contraptions.
It's now 11 am the next day and I'm writing this because I genuinely don't know what my job as a “token founder” ever was.
My deploy dashboard shows “Success”. My holder count is zero. My dev wallet has dust and regret. My kids are asking why their new “DADDY coin” chart looks like a ski slope to hell and why Twitter is calling me a “generational scammer”.
My calendar is empty. My excuse list is empty. My “building in public” guilt is now “hiding in public”. The chart is rugged. And now I can finally watch Bluey in peace without checking Dexscreener… or my wallet notifications blowing up with “wen refund?” DMs.
Society was never ready for solz.app.
