It's #AprilFoolsDay! Who's your favourite Shakespeare fool? Anna's is Feste in Twelfth Night, especially in his 'friends vs foes' duologue with Olivia.

A horrible coincidence of timeline following our last quote tweet...
The version of Richard II we will never see.
Shakespeare depicts Richard's Queen as an adult, but Isabella was just six when she was married to Richard, 29. After Richard's fall, Henry IV wanted her to marry his son (later Henry V). She refused, and returned to France. She died in childbirth, aged 19.

Gorgeous reminder that #Shakespeare IS FOR EVERYONE, and IS ALREADY ACCESSIBLE. Those trying to gatekeep the works from us ruffians, commoners and ladies have always failed. Interpret at Will!

The tidied up version was a lie.
Video now available on our Facebook page! Tidied up podcast version to come.
My jokes are so convoluted that 8 months on I have zero clue what I was aiming for. I can only hope that in 400 years' time actors will be equally baffled and, in my absence, consider them genius, analysing and performing them one at a time. ~ A
Casually googling language in the Shakespeare-Pratchett f(ve)an-diagr-om [allow it]. Cankerblossom just (4 centuries ago) got slut-shamey.
Well, shit.
In Elizabethan England, the word 'Nothing' was slang for female genitalia. The title of the Shakespeare play 'Much Ado About Nothing' is a double entendre.

Currently working on a Shakespeare-themed book for the self-help market, 'Romeo and Juliet's Guide to Life'. It's pretty short.

#Shakespeare #Marlowe Fun fact: This line from Marlowe's Faustus (left) is one of Anna's all-time favourites, and continues "I'd give them all for Mephistophilis". Get yourself a bae who looks at you the way Faustus looks at this soul-conning demon.
