We’re excited to announce that we officially recommend using Shopify’s Tapioca gem for RBI generation! Tapioca takes the place of the srb rbi family of commands. Sorbet itself remains in active development.

We started working on @sorbet_ruby @Stripe almost 5 years ago. We've seen it help engineers spin up faster, ship code confidently, and improve code quality in our 15 million line Ruby codebase. We can’t wait to see what the next five years have in store!

I’m being using this extension for a while and I can say it is one of the best productivity gains I experienced while working with Ruby. I even switched from vim to VSCode after more than 10 years as vim user.

We're big believers in multi-year infrastructure bets. After a few years of Ruby infra work, our in-house Ruby compiler is now 22–170% faster than Ruby's default implementation for Stripe's production API traffic. If interested in working on such problems, we're hiring!
