JUST IN: This Is A Pretty Stunning Observation. Trump is celebrating a new Iran agreement centered on a commitment that Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon. According to ABC's Jonathan Karl, that same commitment appeared in the very first paragraph of President Obama's nuclear deal more than a decade ago. Think about that. First came Obama's agreement. Then Trump tore it up. Now Trump is celebrating an agreement built around the same core promise.

FOOTAGE OF THE LETTERS BEING REMOVED The irony of the Trump administration claiming to be the most transparent in history is never lost on me. Kennedy Center Workers used a tarp so cameras couldn’t see the removal. It’s like playing hide-and-seek with a toddler: if they can’t see you, they think you can’t see them. A huge thank you to @RepBeatty. This would not have been possible without her persistence and hard work.

BREAKING: UGH! Racist Pete Hegseth has REMOVED the portrait of the first Black 4-star general, Chappie James, a war hero who flew 179 missions for our country! In a breathtaking act of disrespect, Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth ordered the removal of the portrait of General Daniel “Chappie” James Jr. from the Air Force Art Gallery, and then left the space blank. General James was an American hero who . . . -- Flew 179 combat missions in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam; -- Became the first Black four-star general in U.S. military history; and -- Famously stared down Muammar Qaddafi in Libya, gun in hand, forcing him to yield. Presidents as far back as Ronald Reagan honored James. Even Ron DeSantis approved naming a bridge after him. He was respected across party lines as a trailblazer and a hero, who earned every star on his shoulder. Just to remind you, Hegseth spent most of his National Guard career as a public affairs desk jockey and never advanced beyond the rank of major, and now cosplays as some kind of battle-hardened combat veteran. James’ portrait, of course, was taken down as part of Pentagon Pete’s crusade against diversity in the military, which is doing so much for morale that one longtime Pentagon employee who walked past James’s portrait every day for a decade reportedly retired after it was removed. Hegseth has also infamously blocked promotions for Black and female officers, fired senior Black leaders, and worked to restore monuments to Confederate traitors. He truly seems to believe that accomplishments by Black service members don’t count in his Pentagon. Maryland Governor Wes Moore, a combat veteran, rightly called the purging of Chappie James “despicable, and not representative of the Army I served in.” Removing a pioneering general’s portrait and leaving the wall empty is a deliberate insult to generations of Black Americans who served and sacrificed for this country. With Trump’s blessing, Kegseth is erasing heroes who don’t fit his narrow, lily-white fantasy about the U.S. military, where one-third of all active members aren’t white, and a fifth women. Chappie James has earned a place in history the likes of Pete Hegseth will never, ever hold. He is deceiving himself if he thinks he can erase it.

🚨BREAKING: A U.S. citizen in, Vancouver, WA, was pulled over by FIVE police cars for legally observing and documenting ICE agents… then had to explain the Constitution to the officers detaining him… And it was all caught on video. In the video, an ICE agent didn’t like being watched, called local police… Then suddenly, the U.S. citizen, exercising his constitutional rights, was surrounded by FIVE cop cars. And most ridiculous part? The officers who claimed “reasonable suspicion” for detaining the U.S. citizen, could not even answer this simple question… Is it legal to observe and record law enforcement? After refusing to answer, and arguing about the First Amendment for several minutes, the officer finally admitted… Yes. It is legal to observe and record law enforcement. So, if it’s a legally protected activity… then why was this U.S. citizen detained? Federal courts, across the country, have repeatedly recognized that the First Amendment protects the right to record and observe government officials… including law enforcement performing their duties in public… as long as you aren’t interfering with them. That means, local police, and ICE agents, don’t get to decide when that right applies… They don’t get to ignore the Constitution because they’re uncomfortable with public oversight. But this isn’t the only incident. Across America, we’re watching local law enforcement work alongside ICE, while ordinary citizens, journalists, and legal observers are being questioned, detained, and intimidated for exercising their constitutional rights. And the fact that a U.S. citizen had to educate the officers, who were detaining HIM, about the Constitution… should outrage every single person. Because if the people enforcing the law don’t understand the constitutional rights they’re sworn to protect… That puts every American in danger.

ICE tackle U.S. citizen—shoot him with taser after already pinned to ground. 4 agents hold the man face down—while 5th agent tazed him in the back. Another agent points a weapon at a witness. "Don't point that at me again," man says. "I don't feel safe," agent yells back. "It's whatever I say—Get back!" The man detained was a community volunteer with VC Defensa. Incident occurred in an area open to the public at the Ventura County Government Center in Ventura, California.
