i’ve been the token girl so many times, my friends stopped referring to me by my name and started calling me any other woman’s name. the same men told me i only got to where i was because i was a girl. as if everything was handed to me
I remember times when I would be invited to minecraft events/smps/recordings as the “token women”, as if I was nothing more then a box to tick for people to say HEY LOOK SEE A WOMENS HERE!
And to notice this has never really been fixed & is only getting worse is beyond sad to see

and on the topic of supporting women and non-men in projects, it’s good to be mindful of how you categorize and treat fem characters! i often see a lot of folks viewing them as side characters, despite their stories being integral and intertwined with others.

consider: our consciousness jumps timelines everytime we die so that we keep living until our time is up. it’s not something i concretely believe but it’s fun to think about haha

the way i view timelines and parallel universes is like a choice tree or a river. we keep going straight until we make a choice and then it splits off into two branches. and then it keeps splitting off because there are SO many choices that you could make in that one moment.
