space4environment attended Biodiversity Monitoring in Luxembourg workshop organised by @LIST_Luxembourg in collaboration with @environment_lu on 18th October to share preliminary results on EO 🛰️ monitoring of grasslands 🌱 in #Natura2000 sites from the @EU_Grasslands project.

The 🇪🇺 #NatureRestoration law, which aims to restore damaged ecosystems, has officially come into effect. Our work 💻📉 supports the progress of ongoing restoration & #protection efforts across the EU, aiming at restoring at least 20% of the EU's land 🌿 & sea 🐳 area by 2030.

The new #CLMS Protected Areas (formerly called N2K LC/LU) contract has been launched, which will map #LCLU within all #Natura2000 sites across Europe. 🌍
@space4env, as part of ETC DI, will lead a task to ensure the product's quality detecting issues already during production.
We kicked off 🎉 the #CLMS Protected Areas contract! 🌿🌍
This new Protected Areas product will cover the reference years 2021 & 2024 & provide a significant improvement in both spatial coverage & temporal resolution compared to the existing #N2K.
