Big shout out @arlery! great sesh on launching. Our main take away "in today’s DeFi landscape, there’s no big launch that guarantees traction. You win by continuously launching, staying visible and top of mind" kudos to @crecimientoar @UniswapFND for this class!
Was great to give this session around GTM, framing, and launch lessons. It's tougher than ever to be building in DeFi, especially if you're an earlier stage builder. So, my talk was rooted in reality and the current landscape. That said, I was super impressed by the entire cohort. What a fantastic group of builders!

We see over 75% of converting users don’t click the ad anyway. We track and report them to make sure you have all the data, but they have no impact on your billing. We’re changing our core data architecture. Initially we optimised for storage, but with our growth and how Specify is actually being used today, we started to see cracks. So before things break, we're moving to a compute-optimised model because that's where the bottleneck is now. Our goal is straightforward: reduce our burst cost, improve execution speed, and make the system behave predictably under heavy load.

All web3 marketing is definitely not cringe. But it can be. If you're chasing in the wrong metrics, you're going to be posting cringe content. Because the cringe content is going to get you the vanity metrics you are looking to achieve. And the more you hit those targets, the more you're going to be posting that cringe marketing. Then you're stuck in a broken feedback loop. Vanity metrics do count. But business metrics pay the bills.
I saw this tweet in the marketing cabal chat today and it got me thinking Is all marketing cringe, just some of it, or none of it? So I sat down with Wayne and we decided to hash it out a wee bit - here's a clip from that (great take from @DompteurM too)
