#PortfolioDay has come around once again! I make toy things and I make game things too (sometimes).
Right now I'm on a fan art kick so follow me if you like Crash, Spyro, and Steven Universe.
I'll do a breakdown at some point, but the scales were a custom material attempting to reverse engineer how the Burrowing Snagret's body looks in Pikmin 4. Strict PBR wasn't going to be convincing enough for the cartoonish metallic look
I always imagined Purple, Blue, and Rock Pikmin being the ideal way to fight this.
Rock Pikmin will do major damage to the air sacs, but then fall in the water, so be careful!
With January now concluded, I made 30 sculpts of different fish (1 excluded because it was more of a dragon).
I wanted to challenge myself to, on the spot, come up with a weird fish every day. Take a look!

I will not be continuing this project into February. This month will be dedicated to working on a game of mine for the entire month! Though I won't post daily, I do expect to update weekly. Please look forward to it!
Day 27 of making up a fish! The Scaldblade is a variant of a Knifefish with the ability to superheat its fin. It propels itself through the water at extreme speed, hunting with its keen senses and deadly heat.
This was a second attempt of an idea I tried that I felt much better about. I wanted to have a long-snouted fish with a mask-like face and the heated blade part emerged when I thought about how to color it. I had seen a shark many days ago with a compelling color like this.
I've been sculpting a made up fish every day this month and I will be doing another one tonight in my stream! Make sure to join at ~9:30 EST tonight. I will also be playing One Piece and Angeline Era so don't miss it!
