A good news story now from a young person we work with in FV. This was powerful feedback from their parent, about the impact getting a diagnosis of DLD made. M's now feeling confident to advocate for himself and what he needs, and seeing hope for the future. āŗļø#DLDday@RADLDcam
Yes! DLD is a lifelong neurotype: adults do not āgrow outā of DLD, so we must have things in place to support them. We need universities, employers and health services to know that anyone of any age could have DLD!
Services for adults with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) are nowhere near where they need to be. Join us in being part of the change! We believe that with the right support, people with #DevLangDis can thrive. #DLDDay
