ALT This image is a research recruitment poster inviting people to take part in a project titled 'Waiting and Access in Therapy: Understanding Perspectives in Speech and language therapy (WAIT-UP SLT). It relates to Phase 1: Recruitment of Advisory Groups. The text reads: Would you like to be involved in an advisory group to support new research into waiting and access within children's speech and language therapy services? WAIT-UP SLT aims to explore perspectives and experiences of waiting within children's speech and language therapy services in England. This will be a multi-phase project, looking separately at the views of SLT teams, parents and caregivers, and children and young people. You can express an interest if you a) are a parent or caregiver for a child or young person who has accessed children's SLT services in England in the last 3 years b) work within a SLT service in England as a service lead, SLT, SLTA, admin/clerical assistant or other associated role.'
Yesterday, our CEO Jane gave evidence to the Health and Social Care Committee on supporting children with speech and language challenges.
Watch the highlights below where she calls for early support for families and a joined-up national strategy to tackle this growing crisis.👇
