They changed the ending.
They seem to be marketing this as a children’s movie, and Animal Farm is not a children’s book.
My question is, did they change the ending to make it palatable to kids, or did they leave the ending alone and the marketing is just completely off base?

1. Drag is typically for gay men by gay men. It’s not “for” trans women or really having anything to do with presenting as women.
2. Drag is caricature of women, often originally specific women like Streisand, Cher, Garland, Madonna, people that were revered.

/Re the note on drag kings: gay men are “above” women in the social hierarchy only recently (if at all). Feminism is older than the successful gay rights movement and gay men were criminalized within my lifetime. Gay men were not celebrated when drag was created.
