Leeds United do not want to lose their key players this summer, but they do not hold all the cards in Pascal Struijk's situation. If a new contract is not agreed with him this summer, he has to be sold. A column on the state of play. #lufc nytimes.com/athletic/7355561

It takes a lot of gall to stand at the Despatch Box and pretend everything is great - just after the Defence Secretary has resigned because Labour are failing to keep the country safe. I can see why this defence minister did not resign. He has absolutely no shame whatsoever.

This is total madness from another unaccountable quango. The government must overrule Natural England and stop it immediately. Keir Starmer is on his way to making his last acts in office the shameful underfunding of our military and the mass slaughter of Dartmoor ponies.
Exclusive from @oliver_wright Dartmoor ponies could be subject to mass culling to reduce the impact on biodiversity after a controversial ruling by the government’s environmental quango Natural England has demanded that all livestock grazing on the moor is reduced by about 75 per cent to protect other habitats, plants and species The move looks set to result in the culling of up to nine in ten of the semi-wild ponies as farmers prioritise their own cattle and sheep to remain within Natural England’s limit to minimise the impact on their own livelihoods Natural England argued that the move was necessary to protect the diversity of Dartmoor, which is a designated site of special scientific interest However, the plan goes against a government commissioned review into the future of Dartmoor, published two years ago, which concluded that Natural England “should not take actions likely to result in a reduction in pony numbers”, adding they were “invaluable for conservation grazing” The move has led to claims that the quango is acting as judge, jury and executioner of the ponies — a species which is itself seen as endangered Dartmoor ponies could be put to death under biodiversity plans thetimes.com/article/ba529f3

🚹 Serco - the government contractor that runs large parts of Britian's immigration and justice operation - has taken the extraordinary position of saying it would oppose Reform's plan to deport illegal migrants from Britain. Having read the Telegraph's report making this claim, I have written to Serco's CEO asking him to urgently clarify their position. Serco is the firm the Home Office uses to deposit unvetted men from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq into British housing estates without the knowledge nor consent of local residents. Serco is the firm that launches huge bids for rental homes, outbidding local residents by such a vast amount that lifelong residents - including veterans - have been served eviction notices by landlords. All to house illegal migrants. Serco has expressed no moral concern about any of this. Yet they apparently take exception to our plan to actually uphold immigration law and remove those who break it. Moreover, if the Telegraph's reporting is correct, a company so enmeshed in the British state it even runs recruitment for British Armed Forces, says it will take a hostile position to a duly elected Reform government. If the Telegraph’s reporting is correct, the only reasonable interpretation of Serco’s position is that it now believes itself to be an alternative power base to the duly elected government of the United Kingdom, and is willing to act contrary to the interests of the British electorate. If this were true, a Reform government would be left with no choice but to view Serco as a threat to national security.  I have given Serco until 6pm to clarify their position. Should they fail to do so, we will take the following steps to decouple the British Government from Serco: 1) On forming a Government, we will initiate an accelerated review of all Government contracting with Serco with the aim of removing Serco as a public contractor within our first Parliamentary term. 2) Where Serco has breached contracts or break clauses are available, we will terminate those contracts and continue to exercise break clauses as they come due.  My full letter below 👇

On October 21, 2011, police in Michigan pulled over an 87-year-old man who appeared confused and unable to recall the date. A search of his vehicle, however, uncovered more than 440 pounds of cocaine. Authorities had unknowingly stopped Leo Sharp, a World War II veteran who had become one of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán’s most trusted drug couriers. Leo Sharp’s life reads more like a movie plot than a true story. Before becoming involved with the Sinaloa Cartel, Sharp was a decorated World War II veteran who served in the Pacific Theater. After returning home, he built a successful career as a horticulturist, becoming one of America’s most respected daylily growers and earning national recognition for cultivating rare varieties. By the late 2000s, however, his flower business had fallen into financial ruin. Struggling with debt and dwindling income, Sharp eventually began working as a drug courier for the cartel. Investigators later concluded that his advanced age made him an ideal smuggler, as elderly drivers rarely drew the same level of suspicion from law enforcement as younger traffickers. Authorities believe Sharp transported hundreds of kilograms of cocaine and millions of dollars in drug proceeds during his years with the organization. When he was arrested in 2011, he reportedly told officers he had been paid exceptionally well for the deliveries. His extraordinary story later inspired the 2018 film The Mule, although the movie took considerable creative liberties with the real events. At the time of his arrest, Leo Sharp was believed to be the oldest known drug courier working for a major Mexican cartel, making his case one of the most unusual episodes in modern American criminal history.

Any news about what he's doing for the Buddhists, or the Hindus, or the Taoists, or the Sikhs, or the Jews, or the Zoroastrians, or even the Christians ?
London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, slapped down all that nasty online "disinformation" that’s supposedly ruining his city’s flawless reputation — you know, ridiculous conspiracy theories like "London’s being taken over by immigrants" and "it’s turning into a Sharia state." The man who would be king!
