there does seem to a clear shift away from the cynicism of the last two years, and i believe we are heading into the era of the 'hope meta'
on a micro level we can see that within our industry, things feel less 'retardio' and max-edge lord that we saw dominate the timline, it felt almost representative of just a complete lack of hope and purpose, and resorted to full embracing of clown-world acceptance, pvp onchain warfare, "everythings a scam bro"
it felt symptomatic to the more macro landscape, bad economy, bad housing, a war fought with drones, biden leading the most powerful country in the world with his brain rotting from the inside out for everyone to see, tone-deaf toxic positivity and deranged liberal political correctness like nails on chalkboard in stark contrast to any pressing issue that relatably hit home to majority of the population
its starting to feel like there is a vibe shift, we are falling in love with innovation again, landing the biggest rockets we ever have done, making AI that surpassed our wildest imaginations, quantum computing that can unravel what we thought was impossible
there is kind of vengeance to the expansion of humanity at the moment, we needed a great reset, but not one of chaos and destruction, but of something with violent forward momentum, causing us to completely rethink what we thought a 'good society' could and should be
the data is starting to show, we are already seeing drug-related fatalities in economically developed countries dropped dramatically, suicide rates have fallen off a cliff in the UK
for the first in as long as i can remember, it feels like we aren't shouting blindly at each other from across opposite sides of the table
maybe this all ends in tears like it always has done, and we'll lose all hope again
but maybe we have reached some form of breakout trajectory as a civilisation that might have lasting and far reaching positive impact
either way im glad we're currently heading in the direction we are
