I used to avoid twitter when the Tour de France was on so as not to spoil the highlights. Now actively trying to find out what happened today and there’s nothing. Twitter is totally broken for me.
The idea for the this tweet — which I freely admit is a daft tweet — came to me while I was walking through our local LTN with my wife. The roads were so quiet; such a lovely difference to previously. 🧵
"All right, but apart from safer streets, cleaner air, quieter roads, less congestion and birdsong, what have LTNs ever done for us?"

Noticed the rear brake on the Brompton was a bit draggy and this deep groove that’s developed on the rim doesn’t look good.
So, new rim? New wheel? Or upgrade to a 5 speed wheel?
#brompton
Instructions with the new rim say:
As the rim wears, a void will appear in the braking surface. At this stage the rim should be replaced.
Obviously I read this after I’d replaced the rim.
I seem to have chosen storm week for my holiday in Scotland.
Had a good run out up Meall na Teanga and Sron a' Choire Ghairbh today. Nothing has changed up there in the last 28 years.
That might be it though looking at the forecast!
