10 years since I founded my company, and today (1) I’m 45 and full of grays which I will not be changing, (2) I climb 500-900 vertical feet every chance I get and my legs let me, I deeply love Bikram yoga, and I am a Black Belt in TKD, (3) I code for much of my day—AI native proprietary health-first tech to ‘impregnate’ into our incoming physical infrastructure… and I code because I’m well past the preparation and the qualifications for the building part of the infrastructure. See… I’m both a licensed architect and an engineer specializing in construction and its management—been doing that sh* for 25 years or so if you can believe it. And No, I’m not “vibe coding” 🙄… I started with my first neuron in 77 lines of code in 2020 or so. Been coding full time since. I work most weeks all 7 days of the week. Our tech is now a heavy full stack, I already have 250 users and have grown our revenue about 52,000% over the last 12 months. I’m building a culture and community, and we are not a SaaS. More accurately, we’re a platform with many sources of revenue in one ecosystem. Now I’m setting up our own frontier AI model to tie in, ahead of testing to start tying it to our ambient-responsive mesh and blockchain token infrastructure. Edge nodes of recognition, cognition, and health assist tech for our members, and agentic transactions and smart contracts of many kinds. We’re building a narrow and closed Health World Model, language and vision model inclusive. Generative for the purposes of personalized programs and plans to our member’s most and highest human performance. Closed to our infrastructure and for use exclusively and only there. I should explain… Every single day I see a vision I’ve carried with me for over a decade. I first had this vision as a patient, in a hospital bed, thinking I would die—when my daughter was 6 months old. Now… Every single hour of every single day I work on this vision, despite the roadblocks, the expenses, the time and the toll it takes on me and my body and mind… the damn resources… millions of dollars of private equity required to get us there, and hundreds (thousands) of people it will take to bring it all to life and into operations. The vision… Our master plan is a sports and athletes-focused tourism destination, and I have more recently appended a full scale hospital and my health towers, which will be ZERO COST to patients and aging residents on site. Bringing it in one, to make a small city. Until now… For 10 whole years, almost 11, my vision has never changed. Not even a little bit. In fact, it has deepen and gotten more complex instead, and has gotten more crystallized in its financial modeling — a complex capital stack—and for circular operations. If I were @elonmusk as “trillionaire”, the first thing I’d work to solve is human trafficking and the black markets adjacent. UBI can wait. That said, the general populous really needs to understand that he doesn’t have cash, this is value based on company value. What he has is leverage to get into debt, not cash. Politicians yelling about taxes probably are holding SpaceX shares too. Playing dumb and yelling at the dumber. People are very uninformed on all this, while also not willing to learn about any of it… drives me freakin’ nuts 🙃

My problem with Anthropic’s new AI Model Fable this week is… the name. Did no one really catch this?! Fable means literally (1) a short story to teach a lesson usually with animal or fantasy characters, or (2) is a lie and not a truth. For any tech as**ones who think they’re channeling a diety (opening portals, or sim nonsense) via LLM… I think you really need to find a Psychiatrist. STAT

The biology vs. computation dichotomy matters, and we should keep its boundaries clear and strong in every single field. Part of the AI industry wants to pretend there is no real distinction between carbon and silicon systems, and that we can "flourish together." These false analogies will lead to the devaluation of everything that is human, finite, and perishable (and beautifully alive!) in favor of more capable, scalable, and durable silicon systems. That will also lead to the slow and painful dissolution of human institutions and values, and it's unclear how it would end. My full article:
