Today we @ImawhalePM crossed 1B in lifetime volume traded on Kalshi. 8 months ago this was just an idea. A few things about us: • We’re a delta-neutral, opinionless market making operation
• Our focus is tight spreads, fast pricing, and deep liquidity across fragmented event markets
• None of this volume came from RFQs
• We make markets across everything from Cricket and Esports to NFL and WNBA
• We recently tripled the size of our trading team
• 2 months ago we launched a live trading division
• We’re still a tiny team relative to the opportunity Most importantly, we definitely do not have all the answers yet. We’ve had wins, mistakes, painful lessons, and plenty of volatility along the way. But this is the most intellectually fun problem any of us have ever worked on. Excited for the next 1B to come a lot faster.

Wild day on Kalshi’s IPL market. Ended up doing roughly one-third of the entire market’s volume: ~$9M traded out of ~$27M total.

In an intense multiple day, 5 set match against @tonydunsttv. On day 2 we just broke each other 11 games in a row. That seems statistically improbable for solid 4.0/4.5 players. Thoughts @adamlevitan @badams78?

No better way to celebrate @jetsetrach 40th than the Paris Olympics. Our favorite city in the world combined with the excitement and infrastructure of the Olympics was even more than I could have ever imagined. We focused on tennis/food and we scratched 1% of the surface.

I’m so excited for @bet_bash week!! This will be my 3rd year going. Best advice I can give is to arrive with no agenda. Each year I’ve been able to meet so many people, 99% I haven’t done an ounce of business w and it’s all amazing. Ty @spanky and team as always for organizing!

2 years later, still grooving this move

PSA to @WSOP poker players: Yday, one of my sports traders had his backpack w cash stolen out of a locker in the @parishotelvegas spa. Locker was crowbarred (along w 4 other lockers). Wasn’t a huge amount of cash, just posting alerting others that might use the spa during WSOP!

Played w Burns on Tuesday and saw him miss a 10 footer on 18 for 59. Not taking him to win the Amex this week watching what I saw Tuesday has to be a pretty massive blunder as a professional gambler.
