Every lending market, every vault, every liquidation engine in DeFi runs on one assumption: the oracle knows the right price.
On October 10, 2025, that assumption broke. Nearly $19 billion in leveraged positions got liquidated in 24 hours, not because the assets were worthless, but because oracles fed stressed, thin market data straight into automated liquidation systems. The machines did exactly what they were told. The data was the problem.

The adoption signal is already there. Hermetica is using it for reserve-backed pricing of USDh. River deployed it across its omnichain stablecoin system. Hemi brought fair value feeds to hemiBTC. DIA now serves 250 dApps across 60 chains, all running on its rollup-based Lasernet, where oracle computation happens onchain and every feed is auditable from source to chain.

2. @solana Alpenglow and Firedancer Both Closing In on Mainnet
Firedancer is now running on around 207 validators on mainnet as of early June 2026, with rollout continuing. Alpenglow, targeting a reduction in finality from 12-13 seconds down to around 150 milliseconds, went live on a test cluster on May 11, 2026, with mainnet activation potentially as early as Q3 2026.
