I am overwhelmed with all the messages we received after announcing the Lynx-R2. It feels that we were spot on with most specs/design decisions and the current macro trends of our market only reinforce our core vision. I try to read everything and I'm thankful for the feedback.

Thanks! It's a battle-tested laptop hinge but the difficulty in designing this part is to mix it with the eye relief mechanism and 11 cables (battery speakers) passing through.
The thing I love about the new @Lynx_xr is they kept the flip-up. I think flip-up passthrough VR visors really make sense, but you have to crack the design problem of making the flipped-up state be aesthetically and ergonomically pleasing as a cap or visor.

We are making the exact same video for the R2, but this time we had to pivot the GoPro to have a slight view of the peripheral vision because of the massive gain in FOV! Coming very soon.

The full reveal of the device will happen on Wednesday! In the meantime, I can share now that the passthrough resolution is more than 3K x 3K per eye, and we had to revamp our distortion pipeline completely to accommodate the FOV of both the cameras and the VR optics 👀. I got lots of questions about this new optical engine from @HyperVisionXR.
➡️ It has 2x 4k Micro-OLEDs per eye
➡️ 220 hFOV x 95 vFOV
➡️ Incredible brightness and clarity

In 2009, I flew from SF to Paris to pitch an investor for our Series A.
I was obviously exhausted, red eyes, jet-lagged,but I did my best.
They passed.
A week later I hear from who introduced us : they were wondering if I smoked joints,because I “looked” high.
I stayed calm.
