#11Feb is International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a day to reflect on women's role in science, & how we still have a way to go with challenging gender bias that prevent them from pursuing #STEM careers. Here's what we’re doing to close the gap & support women in #physics
We're celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science!
Let's look back on the life of Marie Skłodowska Curie: a Nobel Prize laureate who dedicated her life to science and became one of the world's greatest scientists.

Regarding the death of Her Majesty The Queen. The Physics, Astronomical and Engineering and Aerospace Societies send our greatest condolences to the Royal family and everyone affected by these news.
We wanted to confirm that the Physics Societies' Barbeque on Saturday is still going ahead. The event will be a get-together for all students who wish to attend.
It will be held at the Observatory, a relatively remote location, and we will strive to keep the event respectful and the disturbance minimal. We hope that this event will still remain a good way for entrants to meet new people.

“Physics isn’t something that girls tend to fancy. They don’t want to do it. They don’t like it… There’s a lot of hard maths in there that they don’t want to do.” 🤦🏻♀️ @Miss_Snuffy, UK Government Social Mobility Commission Chair #WomenInSTEMparliamentlive.tv/Event/Inde…
