On Wednesday at Busara School, we partnered with Goethe Institut for a vibrant launch of 'Tell It to the Birds' by Muthoni wa Gichuru.
Learners watched a powerful dramatization of the book by Sesmo theatre group and had a brief debate session from the book.

We later had a powerful Meet the Author session moderated by Mercy Kirui where learners got to know more about the author and the book
When children read locally authored books, they see themselves in the stories and begin to believe their voices matter too.
