Pride Month is a moment to celebrate how far medicine has come — and to be honest about how far it still has to go. LGBTQ professionals are still underrepresented in many specialties, career stages, and areas of the country. Without visible role models, the next generation cannot see what is possible. 💬 RSM member, Professor Andrew Hartle, puts it plainly: "The medical profession enjoys privilege and respect, even today. We have a responsibility to learn from our past, and promote fairness, kindness, and equity." Rights fought hard for can be lost.
