So happy to announce that our #PRELIFE consortium was awarded๐ŸฅณIn one of 16 projects on the emergence of life, I will investigate the onset of silicate weathering and its coupling to ocean chemistry. For the silica lovers: special emphasis on reverse weathering๐Ÿ˜‰@UUEarthSciences

Btw: Clays, clays, clays! triggers directly โ›ต๏ธBoats! Boats! Boats!โ›ต๏ธ Oh dear...๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ Who knows what I'm talking about? Same effect?๐Ÿ˜
Clays, clays, clays! Clays are complicated, but this paper does a nice job framing some of these complications using ISOTOPES (of silicon)! ๐Ÿ‘! For all those interested in 'enhanced' ๐Ÿชจ๐ŸŒง๏ธ for CDR, these are the sorts of papers you should be๐Ÿ‘€! Ask yourself how your MRV is going to keep track of all the alkalinity passing through clays!

Thanks for the nice words! Highly appreciate it! Using your comment to link 'my' CDR community to it. Can only emphasize: BEWARE of CLAYS and CO2 release during formation! #CDR #ERW #oae @MEVorrath @CDRmare @UUEarthSciences @_david_ho_ @bach_lennart @GEOMAR_en @AOschlies

Good to note as well: Abstract deadline is already THIS FRIDAY (29.03.)! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคช So, put your data in a nice abstract and let's discuss it together @goldschmidt2024 ! ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
