When you grow up in “da nordth” (eg Michigan) you don’t think twice about stepping off the trail. Not so much in the south and mid-south. Beautiful copperhead my daughter and I found at Babler State Park, Wildwood, MO. This is a no touch situation.

The job posting for the Systems Analyst role in my team closes later this week. I'm looking for a plant scientist with a strong data science background. This is a key role for the group and helps set our data and imaging strategy. jobs.bayer.com/job-invite/79…

Happy to announce that @Bayer4Crops is sponsoring a workshop at @plantdisease Plant Health 2023 (Aug. 12th / Sat.) on the Behavioral Based Interview Process! This is a common format used by Bayer and other companies and most young professionals are not familiar with it.

The workshop will consist of a short presentation on the process, followed by small break-out sessions where one can practice with experienced Bayer employees. Registration is through the normal APS meeting registration system. Hope to see some of you there!

When you raise your children not to fear bugs and they befriend the creepiest of crawlies… I wouldn’t even pick one of these up.

Is it considered cheating to attach your step tracker to your dog and then let him run around at the dog park while you tweet? #AskingForAFriend

If you think about parenting from a Newtonian physics perspective, 90% of your energy is used addressing the entropy that children introduce into your once closed system. Bye-bye equilibrium! #Nerdtake #Parenting

If you ever wondered if animals have emotions and can be ‘happy’, you should see my dog with his new toy. He’s going to love it for the next 2 hrs until it’s destroyed.

I’ve reached that point in my life where an exciting Saturday night is watching my dog watch YouTube videos of other dogs.. it is actually rather funny.

Came into the office today and my phone is blinking that I have a voicemail. This is odd because I set up call forwarding two years ago. The worst part is that I cannot remember my voicemail password… the phone keeps blinking at me wanting attention. Kind of like a dog.

LOL. Thank you for the chuckle! In some jurisdictions this might be considered cruel and unusual punishment.
