Quelques mots sur le triangle rouge arboré par Manuel Bompard : 1) C’est un symbole de revendication ouvrière, adopté au XIX siècle pour distinguer le manifestant du simple citoyen, et appeler à la journée de 8h. 👍 2) Dans les camps de concentration nazis, le triangle rouge était la marque des prisonniers politiques (résistants, communistes etc.) 👍 3) En souvenir de cette 2è signification, et par un génial retournement du stigmate, le triangle rouge est devenu un symbole de la lutte anti-fasciste. 👍 Mais… 4) Le triangle rouge est aussi utilisé comme symbole de la « résistance » à Gaza, c’est-à-dire le symbole du Hamas. C’est un appel au meurtre de Juifs. Raison pour laquelle on le retrouve sur les vitrines brisées des commerces juifs ici ou là. Si on lui reproche de porter ce triangle au nom de cette ultime signification, Manuel Bompard aura beau jeu de renvoyer aux 3 premières, et de vous traiter de manipulateur. Une telle stratégie n’a pourtant rien qui doit surprendre ou intimider. Elle s’inscrit dans le sillage des « dragons célestes » ou des paumes rouges : autant d’images ambivalentes qui se présentent comme inoffensives alors qu’elles constituent des menaces antisémites, voire des appels au meurtre. En vérité, en arborant ce triangle, Bompard coche toutes les cases : de la revendication ouvrière jusqu’au symbole menaçant pour les Juifs. Et tandis que son sens 1er anoblit le triangle, les éléments les plus radicaux, les antisémites les plus virulents, repèrent le triangle comme un encouragement. C’est du gagnant-gagnant.

Okay, so let’s talk about the tragic incident that left dozens of Palestinians dead in Rafah over the weekend, and the firestorm on social media that followed. On Sunday, the IDF located and targeted two Hamas leaders. They were in a Hamas compound a mile away from the humanitarian zone that was created to keep Palestinian civilians safe. There was another unauthorized camp 200 yards away from the compound. Israel launched a precision airstrike targeting only the terrorist leaders, in accordance with international law. Shortly after the strike, a secondary explosion was heard and a fire erupted near the compound. It is believed that this was caused by Hamas weapons that were stored near the compound. Israel’s strike alone could not have caused this level of damage and destruction. Palestinian eye witnesses also reported that the secondary explosion and fire were caused by Hamas’s weapons. But, of course media outlets social media activists and celebrities around the world who never heard of Rafah in their lives, were quick to blame Israel for these horrible deaths. Insinuating that Israel did this on purpose. So here is the useful information for everyone. Hamas is hiding among Palestinian civilians and all eyes should be on Hamas. So to everyone posting “All Eyes on Rafah”, without knowing any of what actually happened, I suggest you actually open up your eyes and realize, once and for all, that you are being played by Jihadi terrorist propaganda that is not just causing the death of Israelis and Palestinians, but is coming for you too.

HOW DARE YOU @GretaThunberg. How DARE you call for ethnically cleansing the Jewish people from our ancestral land?? You know nothing. No history, no reality, no truth. So I have this to say to you. Israel is not a colonialist state – it’s a refugee state which was literally decolonized from Britain. The majority of Israeli Jews are people of color, whose families were ethnically cleansed from other parts of the Middle East. Throughout history, the only indigenous sovereign entities to exist in the land have been Jewish states. Jews originate from the land, derive our religion and our practices from it and despite centuries of exile and displacement have always kept an unbroken presence there. And you Greta Thunberg, are chanting “crush Zionism” on the streets of Sweden. Zionism is the Jewish people exercising our right to self-determination in some parts of our only historic, ancestral and indigenous homeland. Hamas showed us on October 7 what “crushing Zionism” looks like and you want to cheer that on Greta? Greta Thunberg, if I can borrow your famous phrase, “how dare you!” But this is how antisemitism works – Find what is most evil to you, and blame it on the Jews, or today - on the Jewish state. I can understand that younger generations in western societies feel guilty about the evils of colonialism. But Israel’s history is not your history, and whatever guilt you feel, supporting the massacre of Jews in their ancestral land will not wash away the sins of your fathers. When your ancestors were colonizing the world, my ancestors were being slaughtered by Cossacks. We were dreaming – next year in Jerusalem – of building a life raft in our homeland. We fled genocidal violence in Europe. We were ethnically cleansed from Arab countries all over the Middle East. And we built a liberal, democratic Jewish state. That is not a colonial enterprise. Zionism is not a colonial enterprise – Zionism is the decolonization movement of the Jewish people. And to anyone who cannot accept our presence or who slanders Israel as something it is not, we are here to say: “how dare you.”
