Instead of choosing one side and getting a partial view, how do we integrate different perspectives and gain a bigger view? That's the inspiration behind my series — Faces of X. 6 videos starring @Liv_Boeree on AI, @TheOmniLiberal on free speech, @BuckAngel on gender, & more👇👇

Perhaps counterintuitively, hanging out with people I find beautiful makes me feel more beautiful 😍 You?

Most meat comes from animals that endured untold suffering. For those who still eat meat, how about including that in our food blessing? Consciously take in the suffering, and dedicate the energy we get from the meat to helping reduce that suffering. Dinner-table tonglen' ♾️

If I could have any two people alive engage in public dialogue, it would be: philosophers Ken Wilber and Daniel Schmachtenberger. (@TheKenWilber and @DanielSchmacht1) How about you?

I still can't believe he’s gone. I'm talking about the illustrious @Jim_Rutt — one of the most original thinkers on what comes after civilization as we know it, who passed away on May 27th. I'm fortunate to have called him a mentor and a friend, so I’d love to honor him. Or rather — Jim, I'd love to honor you. I know the word "metaphysics" made you reach for your pistol, but according to my metaphysics, you can hear me on some level, so — hey Jim! This one’s for you 😉 Thank you for your brilliance, honesty, spicy sense of humor, and ever-present sense of awe. I'm convinced that you cursed frequently and accentuated your drawl to throw us off, but nice try, we all knew you were a genius. Thank you for the treasure trove you left behind with the Jim Rutt Show — a masterclass in genuine curiosity. Listening to you interview someone felt like watching a person turn an unfamiliar 3D object around in their hands. By the end of the episode, we all had an intimate sense of the whole. Thank you for having me on to interview me (jimruttshow.com/stephanie-le…), and having me on to interview you (jimruttshow.blubrry.net/curr…)! Thank you for mentoring me, supporting my work, and always giving me generous and incisive feedback. You were the most consistent attendee of our monthly producer mastermind — even though you were the one with the most to teach and least to gain. Thank you for remaining remarkably joyful — despite your deep understanding of how dire this moment is. You smiled often! And laughed! You were intimate with the planetary boundaries humanity is swiftly overshooting, yet you genuinely enjoyed the miracle of your life. Ultimately, thank you for your extraordinary body of work helping humanity imagine a wiser, more omni-considerate civilization. If we build such a civilization, you will be largely to thank. I confess I'm tormented by what you had yet to create. The book (or books!) you had yet to write. The ventures you had yet to launch. For me, The Anti-Debates you had yet to participate in (youtube.com/watch?v=FQB0Kn5G…). But you left an abundant legacy, so we must now take the baton. In your honor, let's bring your Game B vision to life! 💫💫💫💫

When exploring marriage, imho the question is: who do you want to ✨co-evolve✨ with?
When you get engaged, you think you’re about to spend the rest of your life with your best friend. It’s partially true. More likely, you will be spending most of your days apart and reconvening as two very tired souls in the evening. And much of your efforts in marriage will be spent trying to steal time from your obligations to spend it with your beloved. Wrongly considered, it can be a persistent grief. Rightly considered, it can become a grand romantic adventure. Either way, I find that I often miss my husband. And my hope for his eventual retirement has nothing at all to do with a life of ease but with a deep and simple desire for his presence.

Does the way you live require other people to live in ways that they wouldn't freely choose?

AMEN. Hence why motherhood is on my LinkedIn. Job description: learning to steward the future of humanity.
A mother raising children at home is not opting out of the economy. She is running the most sophisticated management operation in human history — forming the next generation of every civilization that will ever exist.

Who else would love to hear the inside story of the integral movement that evolved around @TheKenWilber? I'd love an account of how the movement started, has ebbed & flowed, and where it stands now. And I think the person to tell it is the illustrious @DailyEvolver 🤓

Same for AI — face it wisely, or it will raise our kids.
The parenting advice that I’ll be sitting with for a VERY long time: You either face your demons or they raise your children.

I just interviewed the patron saint of my life's work: philosopher @TheKenWilber. Instead of a typical interview about integral theory, I asked him for feedback on current and upcoming productions — like The Anti-Debate. He jumped right in! Recording forthcoming 👀

Hence why I don't use LLMs for writing.
The most important component of writing clearly is simply to have high standards for clarity. Then if you write something unclear, you notice, and ask: what did I mean to say? You can just keep doing this over and over. And if you have high standards for clarity, you will.

Instead of: there's something wrong with me as I am, and I hope my spiritual practice will fix it It helps to hold this conviction in your heart, however fleeting: There is something right with me as I am, and I hope this practice will reveal it

Some conferences feel more like a family reunion. That was my experience at @ICONisIntegral. Multiple generations, teaching each other during the day, and then at night, moving the chairs out of the way to dance in our socks on the conference room rug. Grateful to be part of the integral family ❤️

WOW. I kinda wish it was faster and there were fewer categories, but wow.
How Americans aged 25-35 spend their free time, 1920-2026. A shift toward ever more leisure and solitude. The most underrated change is the loss of time spent “doing nothing” (i.e. introspecting). shorturl.at/aIA6y
