i lived in madagascar for 6th & 7th grade and everytime i tell somebody this they ask if it’s like the movie and im just like no
shit like this is why i haaateee the Madagascar series. it mythicizes a very REAL African country, its land, its animals. but doesn’t include the people ONCE. doesn’t mention that it’s an actual place ONCE. the empty africa trope is by far my most hated racist trope.
