it seems that festivals and other big events have turned into visual art exhibitions. The main focus is on the visuals/animations. Yes, they are incredible, but the music is definitely secondary, the crowd is mostly filming, not dancing. Or am I missing something here?

To be clear, I am not complaining here. I can see why people like it. And at events this size people can barely see the Dj. But i think it could be cool to use technology to build something that adds to the atmosphere on the dance-floor, instead of taking the focus away from it.
