I was at the @ngadc last weekend. Unfortunately the museum had to delay the Philip Guston Retrospective a week after I'd already planned the trip. But I got to see a glimpse of the outside of the exhibit which should be open now. Maybe I'll be able to get back before it closes.

My affection for Fredo Corleone grows as I get older. At worst, he's a disgruntled naive sibling. At best, he's a loving uncle, son, brother and friend. A seemingly free spirit who didn't fit in the rigid criminal world he was born into.
In Godfather 2 Michael loses his humanity in his pursuit of business. I see the murder of Fredo as one of the final despicable acts in his transformation.
