I loved every minute of our broadcast last night. Who knew that during our 80s retrospective a great game would breakout. A lot of people worked very hard to put it together. Bob Costas was a pleasure to work with and Connor McKnight helped set the stage. SOX are a half game out

Watch the Sox game tomorrow night June 9 vs the Braves. I will be sharing the booth with the legendary Bob Costas. We will pay homage to the 1980s and the 1983 White Sox team. Bob is the greatest interviewer in the sports world as well as a baseball historian par excellence

Our Chicago sports community has lost a great man and broadcaster. Stacey King passed away at 59 years old. He came to be synonymous with the Bulls. Great enthusiasm and a wonderful personality were his calling cards. He’ll be missed by many. He gave us all the hot sauce. RIP

I had two stints as a White Sox pitcher and I came back as a broadcaster in 2008. I’ve never seen as deep and talented a farm system as our 2026 group. 11 guys made their ML debuts this year. The team is loaded with home grown talent. There’s more coming. Long way to go. It’s fun

To see the game as it should be played watch Sam Antonacci. All ML players are gifted. Sam squeezes every ounce of ability out of himself everyday. He’ll make mistakes like all young players but he gives the Sox 100% of himself daily. For all you young players this is how to play

The Cub series is almost here. It’s an intense weekend. The Sox are a different team. The culture that Will and his staff installed this Spring is a pleasure to watch. The hustle and grit is an everyday process. They play hard win or lose. Kudos to Getz and Venable. Stay tough

The Sox won a series from Seattle with a 2-1 win on Sunday. The Sox would have lost that same game any of the last 3 years. This team is learning how to win close games. They have power and speed. The pitching is improved. This team is exciting. More talent is coming. This is fun

If you can watch one game of baseball this year make it our Friday Night All Access. It’s quite possibly the best show in baseball. Chris Withers and his crew do a brilliant job. If you want inside baseball it’s White Sox at home on Friday night

Hello friends. The last roadtrip was exciting and entertaining. Three homerun streaks was a highlight. The Sox are becoming a dangerous team to ignore in the Division. I talked to a longtime Scout in AZ and he was impressed with the offensive balance. Stay tuned. It’s coming

I waited to reflect on Ryne Sandberg’s passing. As a player and a man there wasn’t many better. I called most of his games and what a player he became. After his career he showed what a classy person he was. His battles are over but his legacy lives on. I won’t forget him. RIP 23

I want to thank all of you who reached out with birthday greetings. The mark of a great life lived is how many people you touched in a positive way. My love of this wonderful game is what keeps me coming back. You fans have been a constant reminder that what I do has meaning

Bobby Jenks was on the mound when the 2005 World Series ended. He won a lot of battles that year and the Sox won it all. Sadly Bobby lost his last battle but he’ll always be in the hearts and minds of his teammates and Sox fans. He was a big man who was impervious to pressure RIP

The choice might come down to Shane Smith or Miguel Vargas to represent the Sox as an All-Star. Shane is a rookie and that might work against him. I believe both players deserve a trip to Atlanta. I played in 1 ASG. I’ll never forget that game. Fingers crossed they take 2

My father never went to college. He went to war in the Pacific. He was kind and patient. He was a Teamster who became a jukebox repair man. He taught me how to become a man. I think about him everyday. The World lost him 12 years ago. He was special to everyone he met. What a guy

Shane Smith was the first pick in the Rule V draft. He is having a remarkable season. He cost the Sox $100,000. His ERA is 2.37. His WHIP is 1.17. Shane is throwing like a #1 starter. Cudos to the Front Office. No 1 starters are tough to find. Maybe he’ll be a Sox All-Star

At 2pm I was on the Spiegs and Holmes show. Pinch hitters Mark Grote and Anthony Herron did a great job of asking meaningful question and insightful observations. We covered a lot of ground and urge you to go back and experience this show. Learn and laugh. Maybe make some money

I won’t be on this Texas trip. This is a scheduled week off. I’m in Arizona with Ruby Lucky and Dave. My dogs are canine stress relievers. They believe I’m smart loving kind and caring as long as I give them regular snacks and feed them occasional carrots. I love these hounds

The Sox had a good homestand. What you might have not noticed is the Will Venable effect on this team. He and his Dad played in the Big Leagues. His knowledge and feel for the game is extraordinary. He gives autonomy to his coaches. His players like and respect him. He is a star

Long term deals to pitchers is a very risky. The Diamondbacks spent 210 million over 6 years for Corbin Burnes. He’ll have Tommy John surgery next week. Burnes will be lost for approximately 14 months if all goes well. Jacob deGrom is great but hurt a lot. I prefer shorter deals
