Mollywood Times is one of those movies where it’s hard to give a clear verdict like “good” or “bad”, but it’s definitely not bad. The movie was quite engaging in the first half, and later it gave me the same trapped, claustrophobic feeling that Naslen’s character was going through. The story then moves into a space that most people probably wouldn’t expect, before finally ending on a more conventional note. Really loved how @jakes_bejoy didnt played to the galleries with his score but gave what was needed for the movie. Anyone who has watched MUA can easily recognize @abhinavsnayak signature style throughout the film. Karuppu falls into that mass commercial zone where we get a charming hero, a thumping background score, and eye-pleasing visuals put together effectively.
